Hi Karin; Was looking for an adress to send your Christmas card. haven't found one yet. Ruth Bailey
I found your journals very inspiring. I am going to buy your book. My father went through the same hardships, he was born there and was
a child when he fled koenigsberg.
Most Welcome! ...though maybe I have to think about updating my avitar, now that spring is trying desperately to arrive. (We still have large patches of snow, over a foot deep in some spots...)
Father's blessings on your day!
I guess "Happiness" can only be defined by those who know what makes them happy. Being with family and friends, being in the outdoors, being alone and listening to my favorite music and reading a favorite auther....This constitutes "happiness" for me. Simple pleasures give me happiness. Many times in my life, I was unable to enjoy these simple pleasures...for extended times. But, I was able to carry on...because I kept thinking about them. "Some day, some day,...I will have them again."
Yes, you can add topics, Ricky. When we have little questions like this, you can send me a message. There is a button underneath the profile picture. We have a Inbox of Messages in this site. The other webs.com sites work with me, I look into "Let's Talk" very often. The sign-in is the same as with this website.
Interacting in your forums is very interesting and mentally invigorating.
I tried your features like 'Let's Talk' and 'Dieter's "Creations"' but they don't work. I hope you would have them rectified ASAP.
That's okay, Karin. Recently I visited the Gauhati War Cemetery here in my hometown Guwahati( Gauhati) along with Wazed Nasim, writer of the novel 'The Stepping Stones' where he took many pics with his digicam. I didn't have any recent pics. So I wanted to share these in an album-like feature that we find on the social networking sites.
The cemetery is maintained by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission of England and is a memorial in honor of those soldiers who laid their lives during the World War II.
Thank you very much Miss. Very kind of you...
Good luck...!
Thank you very Much. Sure, I will post in your Forums. They are very interesting. My best wishes to you and Dieter.
